While planning the future business strategy and development of the company Orkla Foods Latvija, a decision was made not to sell the beverage production unit in Valdlauči. Orkla Foods Latvija will continue the production process of Everest drinking water and Rīgas kvasa dzēriens in Valdlauči.
‘While planning the business strategy of Orkla Foods Latvija and assessing the development of product range, a decision was made to continue the operation of Valdlauči production unit in the framework of Orkla Foods Latvija. In Valdlauči, Ķekava region, we will continue to manufacture Everest drinking water, as well as Rīgas kvasa dzēriens, which is highly demanded not only in Latvia, but also in export markets,’ informs Dana Erciņa-Užāne, the Marketing Director of Orkla Foods Latvija.
‘After Orkla Foods Latvija informed in spring about its plans to sell the production unit in Valdlauči, Ķekava region, we have received several offers, mainly from beverage manufacturing companies in Latvia. However, a decision was made not to sell the beverage production unit, and we haven’t even proceeded to discussing of the financial side of the potential transaction,’ explains the Marketing Director of Orkla Foods Latvija.
